While the “in-person” students jump into their new schemes of the bridge for Forest Park, myself and two other virtual students continue to dive deeper into our design for the urban horticulture center. Last week was our first full week tackling the project individually. We began by setting up a schedule for the remainder of the semester and writing out our goals for the project. We are revising our sites and building designs based on feedback that we received from the Conservancy during the first presentation. We have been determining our building layout through diagrams, sketches, and study models. We have conducted site analysis and roof studies to determine the best design for the site. Once we have our designs complete, we will begin construction documents in hopes of helping the conservancy with building options and cost analysis for the future horticulture center.
