Following last Friday’s site research presentation to the various involved parties and future beneficiaries of our Community Build studio project, we all took a thorough second pass on research over the weekend. Pushing through the pain of the Eagles’ loss and RiRi’s underwhelming half-time performance on the Sunday Super Bowl, we still managed to find the motivation to draw diagrams and compile our research.
At the beginning of our studio time Monday, we shared our findings with one another to increase knowledgeability of our site conditions, influential factors and future. Many dozen slides later, our collective studio is far more informed on Singleton Park and its surroundings!
Now ready to adventure on 2 weeks of individual design work, we played along with David’s game of “pull a number from the hat”. Separated into three overall positioning strategies on site, we scattered, beginning to ideate on site strategies and programming. Over the next month we will move from individual to small group ideation, finally combining the most innovative and appropriate ideas into a comprehensive studio design.
