Watching Paint Dry

After a long weekend of pressure washing, we were finally able to begin the second phase of spring cleaning out at Medway Park. Completed in 2017, the pavilion at Medway Park and Community Garden was in need of a fresh coat of paint. After 5 years of service to the Medway Park community, the structure’s painted surfaces were experiencing sun damage and beginning to fade.

Before we head over to the site, we have to make sure that we have everything that we need before leaving the shop. This is arguably the hardest and most stressful part of the entire day. After packing a bag and checking it three or four times to make sure that we have all of our supplies, it’s time to load up and get to work before the sun goes down.

With only 2 hours of daylight left, we split up into a team of 7 people so that we can make quick work of getting the pavilion painted. I am always amazed at how much can get accomplished in just a short 2 hours. By 6:00pm we start packing up as well as make plans for our next spring cleaning adventure.
