Crop Stop (Sweetgrass Garden)

Spring 2014

This Spring the studio was devoted to the execution of one project – researching and designing a commercial kitchen on John’s Island at the site of Sweetgrass Garden, as well as fabricating, and installing a structure on the site to house the kitchen.

The A+cB team worked with farmers, bakers, and chefs on the kitchen plan, as well as with DHEC, the FDA, and the Charleston County Building Inspection Services to create a prototype model kitchen to use on similar projects across South Carolina. Local Architects and engineers joined in to help produce a full set of construction documents for the commercial kitchen model.
